To become eligible for CWT benefits, caddies must purchase Life Insurance at a nominal annual premium of only Rs 200/- (arranged by CWT). Additionally, CWT has bought a group insurance cover, assuring Life Insurance cover for the caddies, of Rs.1.3 Lakhs in case of death by natural causes and Rs.1.75 Lakhs for death by accident.

Already, this mandatory pre-cursor for any caddy being eligible for CWT's schemes and initiatives has benefitted over a dozen caddies families, due to the demise of the caddy. A youngster of just 23 succumbed to cancer; others were claimed by accidents which occurred on the way to work.
